Misanthropic Art/Homicides/Oskorei Music/2005 CD Review

Misanthropic Art are a band from Russia that plays a very raw, hateful, depressive and atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of their 2005 album "Homicides" which was released by Oskorei Music.

Drums range from mid paced to fast drumming with a good amount of blast beats being thrown in at times, while the keyboards bring a very dark and atmospheric feel to the music, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from mid paced to fast raw black metal riffs with some weird sounding melodies being thrown in at times, while the lead guitars are very distorted and dark, depressive sounding black metal guitar solos and leads.

Vocals are a mixture of high pitched black metal screams and deep growls with some mournful cries being thrown in at times, while the lyrics touch on war, hatred and anti-christian themes, as for the production it has a very dark and raw feeling to it.

In my opinion Misanthropic Art are a very good raw, hateful, depressive black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Birth Of Nuclear Winter" "Christ's Orgasmic Paranoia" and "Battlefields Of The Hellish Rising". RECOMMENDED BUY.
