Svart Crown/Profane/Listenable Records/2013 CD Review

Svart  Crown are  a  band  from  France  that  has  been  featured  before  in  this  zine  plays  a very  dark  form  of  black  metal  with  some  death  metal  influences  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2013  album  "Profane"  which  was  released  by  Listenable  Records.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  some  blast  beats  being  utilized  at  times,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing  that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  dark  sounding  and  modern  day  black  metal  with  some  death  metal  influences  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own  while  also  utilizing  some  melody  in  the  riffing,  while  the  lead  guitars  when  they  are  utilized  are  very  dark  sounding  black/death  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals  range  from  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  to  deep  death  metal  growls  as  well  as  a  brief  use  of  spoken  word  samples,  while  the  lyrics  cover  the  full  introspection  of  humanity  sickness,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  heavy,  strong  and  powerful  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Svart  Crown  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of this  band,  you  should  enjoy  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Genesis  Architect"  "Until  The  Last  Breath"  "The  Therapy  Of  Flesh"  and  "Venomous  Ritual".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
