Persekutor/Power Frost/Magic Bullet Records/2013 7 Inch Review

Persekutor  are a  band from  Romania  that  plays  an  old  school  form of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2013  7  inch  "Power  Frost"  which  was released  by Magic Bullet Records.

"Power Frost"  begins  with  some  early  90's style  black  metal  guitar  riffs  that  are  in  the slow vein  along  with  some  drums  and  grim  black  metal  vocals  and  after  awhile  the guitars  start  utilizing  some melody  and  towards  the end  there  is  a  brief  use  of  melodic  guitar  solos  and  lead s being  utilized.

"The  Twitching  Hour"  starts out  with  heavy  and melodic  guitar  riffs  which  lead  up  to  some grim  sounding  black  metal  screams  along  with  some  drums  and  a  few  seconds  later  there  is  a  brief  use  of  guitar  solos  and  leads  being  utilized.

Song  lyrics  cover  darkness  and  frost  themes, while  the production  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  with  the  bass  guitars  being  mixed  down  low  in  the  mix.

In  my  opinion  Persekutor  are  a  very  great  sounding  old  school  style  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you should  check  out  this  7  inch.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "Power Frost".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
